RedNet 6 is Focusrite’s latest addition to their Dante-based audio interface range and is now shipping.
Providing a bridge between any Dante IP audio network and MADI/AES10 audio formats, RedNet 6 supports up to 64 channels of either coaxial or optical MADI interfaces and features a sample rate convertor on each input and output. This allows you to interface between MADI and Dante irrespective of the sample rate that either system is operating.
Featuring external word clock in and out, RedNet 6 allows you to slave either Dante systems or MADI streams to an external clock and supports up to 64 channels of digital audio I/O at sample rates of 44.1/48kHz, 32 channels at 96kHz or 16 channels at 192kHz.
RedNet 6 is the perfect solution for connecting any Dante system to MADI based devices including mixing consoles, interfaces, computer cards, convertors and more - allowing you to integrate and extend your Dante or MADI setups seamlessly.
Also included in the RedNet range of Dante break-in/break-out boxes are RedNet 1 & RedNet 2, which offer eight or sixteen channels of line-level analogue in and out, with Focusrite’s precision 24-bit A-D and D-A conversion for superb audio performance. RedNet 3, which interfaces your digital audio systems and components to the Dante network via AES/EBU, S/PDIF and ADAT connections. RedNet 4 which adds eight of Focusrite’s next-generation remote controlled preamps/line inputs with two selectable DIs to your Dante system; and RedNet 5, which provides a bridge between the Dante network and Pro Tools|HD systems. Also available is the RedNet Dante PCIe card, which is an ultra low latency 128 I/O Dante interface for PC and Mac.
The full RedNet range will be on show at PLASA on stand C55 at London’s ExCeL October 6th-9th and AES on stand 2930 at New York City’s Jacob Javits Center October 17th-20th.
